Legacy Wrapping
Institutions can enhance legacy payment systems by front ending with flexible integration technology

Institutions and processors are permanently under pressure to meet increasing business and market-driven demands for change yet implementing such change in existing applications is a slow and expensive programmatic process.
Alaric offers a "legacy wrapping" approach to address this issue via which existing application systems are surrounded by a new technology wrapper.
This wrapper integrates with the legacy application, while providing a modern, highly configurable interface to external services and systems and a service oriented, scalable platform via which future change can be implemented rapidly and cost effectively - in short, the legacy system is insulated from the outside world and from future change, preserving the utility of existing investments.
Easily add new interfaces to legacy payments systems
For example, depending upon the degree of network management required, Alaric's Message Mapper or Authentic Gateway can be deployed by a service provider which acquires transactions from multiple online merchants and needs to switch these transactions to the individual retailers' acquirers. Creating and maintaining many such disparate interfaces is time consuming and costly using a conventional programmatic approach but becomes greatly simplified if Message Mapper is interposed between the service provider's system and all external interfaces.
Add user configurable business rule processing to legacy authorization systems
A further example is Authentic Gateway can be deployed alongside an existing, legacy authorization system, allowing issuers to quickly implement a user-configurable, real-time authorization rules-based fraud prevention and credit risk management capability - adding equivalent functionality to the legacy authorization application would be prohibitively expensive and/or technically infeasible.
